Angela Alsobrooks made history when she became the first Black woman to get elected as a United States Senator from the state of Maryland. I served on her campaign as creative director, responsible for creating every photo and video content.

When gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams made a surprise appearance at Alicia Keys' World Tour in Atlanta, thousands of Georgians responded with deafening screams. I wanted to produce a creative video to encapsulate just how much Ms. Abrams was welcomed. I searched for every Instagram story that "mentioned" Stacey and edited it together into her full remarks.
Working with refugees and stateless people also means making sure that they are protected, even when we are actively telling their stories. As part of UNHCR's iBelong campaign, I produced a story about Ekaterina, a stateless person living in the United States. Because of protection reasons, Ekaterina is unable to show her face on camera. Using a mix of natural sounds, voiceover, and first-person narration, the video became the third most-watched video on UNHCR's Instagram in 2020.

During my last year as an undergraduate student at The George Washington University, I served as the Student Body President. My team and I tackled a wide range of student affairs issues, including affordability, diversity and inclusion, and mental health. My very last official act as President was producing the Year-In-Review Video, which visually emphasizes on why, and how higher education institutions can move forward when all members of the university come together as a community and elevate student voices.
