Hey, it's Ashley.
Ashley currently serves as the Senior Public Information Assistant at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, based in Washington D.C. She leads the creation of digital content in the United States for UNHCR's social platforms, and works with colleagues globally to coordinate media assets and optimize international online campaigns to integrate into the U.S. based media markets.

She's also teaching at the George Washington University's School of Media Public Affairs as an adjunct professor, which is really the best part of her day. Sharing her knowledge and experiences with college seniors is her way of saying to the next generation, "hey, don't be afraid of the real world, you've got this."

Ashley was born and raised into a family of refugees in Vietnam, where she spent 13 years observing socioeconomic inequality, human exploitation, and persecution. Her childhood experience led to her interest in digital advocacy and creative storytelling. Prior to her appointment at the United Nations, Ashley worked with the digital team at the Office of U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, assisting in digital media production and communications.
